1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small pieces of information that may be stored on a device while browsing and read during later visits. Browsers may also use other storage technologies, such as local storage and local databases.
The law distinguishes technical tools needed to provide the requested service from tools used for other purposes, such as profiling and tracking. For transparency, this Cookie Policy also covers non-cookie storage technologies on a device where relevant to FamiDeck.
2. What FamiDeck currently uses
FamiDeck commercial website
In the currently verified configuration, based on the available content and code, behavioral analytics, advertising or profiling tools do not appear to have been intentionally installed. FamiDeck does not intentionally use non-essential tracking tools on its commercial website.
The code review does not include technical cookies that may be set independently by the hosting provider. Their presence and lifetime must be checked in the browser on the published site.
FamiDeck application
The app uses local technologies strictly needed for the service, including IndexedDB, a local browser database. This storage is needed to:
- store app data locally;
- support local-first operation with data available on the device;
- allow some operations during temporary disconnections;
- manage subsequent synchronization.
IndexedDB is not a cookie. The app's technical storage is not a profiling tool and is not used by FamiDeck to create advertising profiles or serve behavioral ads.
3. Cookies and technical tools
Technical cookies or tools strictly necessary for browsing, security, authentication or a feature requested by the user may be used without prior consent in cases permitted by law, particularly Article 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code.
No specific cookie names, domains or lifetimes are attributed to the hosting provider without verification on the published website.
4. Analytics, profiling and advertising cookies
As of the last update, the FamiDeck website code does not appear to include behavioral analytics, advertising cookies or profiling cookies.
If tools requiring consent are introduced in the future, they will be blocked until the user makes a choice and this Cookie Policy will be updated.
5. Consent and cookie banners
When only technical tools necessary to provide the service are used, prior consent required for non-essential tracking tools is not necessary.
The current configuration does not include an "Accept/Reject cookies" banner for non-essential tools, because none appear to be implemented. The existence of this policy does not by itself require a consent banner.
If non-essential tools requiring consent are introduced in the future:
- they will be disabled by default;
- users will be able to accept or reject them;
- users will be able to change their choice later and withdraw consent.
These controls are not implemented in the current version because they do not appear necessary for the tools currently planned.
6. Authentication and future flows
Account access in the FamiDeck application uses Firebase Authentication; this page concerns the information website. This Cookie Policy does not attribute specific cookie names, domains or lifetimes to Firebase without detecting them in the browser during the final flow.
If payment systems or additional services are introduced directly on the website, their storage technologies and any consent requirements will be assessed and documented.
7. Managing data in your browser
You can use your browser or device settings to manage or delete cookies and local data. Available options depend on your browser and device.
Deleting the technical storage used by the app may remove locally available data or affect offline functionality. In particular, it may affect operations that have not yet synchronized. Deleted local data cannot necessarily be recovered.
8. Updates
This Cookie Policy will be updated if the technologies, providers, purposes or applicable legal requirements change. The last-updated date is shown on this page.
