What you share
Shared accounts and transactions let the family follow its common finances. Information updates on members' devices according to their permissions.
FamiDeck helps you manage family finances together while preserving a personal space. Individual accounts, private accounts and encrypted financial data support family sharing.
Belonging to a family does not automatically grant access to other people's personal details.
Shared and private accounts serve different purposes. FamiDeck keeps them separate even within the same family space.
Shared accounts and transactions let the family follow its common finances. Information updates on members' devices according to their permissions.
Private account details remain confidential to the owner. An account may be identifiable as existing without showing its balance or other personal details.
The ADMIN manages the family space and access. This role does not automatically grant access to other members' private details.
You can sign in with email and password or with Google. Joining the family and authorizing a device are part of accessing the shared space.
Every member uses their own FamiDeck account.
For an email/password account, the link sent by email verifies the address.
The member uses an invitation or code to join the family space.
The ADMIN authorizes a member's device for family access.
Every member also creates and keeps their own personal recovery key.
Synchronized financial data is encrypted on the device before it reaches the Cloud. The Cloud does not store financial content in plain text.
Financial data is encrypted.
Encrypted content is synchronized without unencrypted financial data.
Data is readable according to each member's permissions.
Syncing encrypted data preserves the distinction between shared and private information.
A Recovery Key is sensitive information. It differs from your password: changing or recovering a password does not replace or change the recovery key.
Every member manages their own PERSONAL RECOVERY KEY and must store it securely. An ordinary member receives only their personal key, not the family's recovery key or recovery code.
The ADMIN may also have a FAMILY RECOVERY KEY, separate from their personal key. The two keys are for different purposes: personal and family recovery.
The family key does not automatically grant access to other members' private account details.
Support must never ask you to send your recovery key. Do not show it in emails or screenshots.
FamiDeck works on your device first: you can use available data and save transactions even when temporarily offline.
While offline, changes cannot be shared with other devices. Once you reconnect, FamiDeck can sync them with the family space.
Use available data and save on your device.
Changes can sync with your family.
When devices are online, shared information updates in near real time. Private transactions follow their owner's privacy rules.
When a member is removed, their access to the family's Cloud space is revoked. They no longer have access to family data.
The removed member can no longer access the family's Cloud space.
Previously shared history stays with the family. It is separate from the member's personal data.
Future activities and recurring transactions associated with the member are disabled where applicable.
Removing a member does not reveal their private data to the family.
You can export data you have access to in CSV or Excel format. Exports respect your permissions and do not give you another member's private data.
Exporting data does not automatically restore it to FamiDeck: an exported file does not replace the recovery process.
Only data accessible to your account.
Household finances are shared. Personal details stay personal. To learn more about data processing or get help, see the dedicated pages.
